| VENUS |
![]() |
The planet Venus with its
dense atmosphere of Carbon Dioxide and some other
amounts of Nitrogen and other gases. The surface has
a pressure of 90 atmospheres, with a
temperature of at least 460˚C. There is also
volcanism here, Because so little of the sunlight reaches the ground, the world
would have a gloomy yellow look to it, as described in the painting here.
We are looking out over a sandy plain on the eastern side of Ishtar Terra,
with the Maxwell Montes rising in the distance. This continent
sized area rises 3 km over the surrounding plains. These sands may well have formed the floors of ancient seas that could have existed earlier in the planets history. PAINTING DIMENSIONS : 70 x
