| THE EMERALD PLANET |
![]() |
An Earth planet orbits in a binary star system, the main star is a yellow G type such as Sol. The second star off to the right of the painting is a cooler M class red dwarf. The planet has a high level of carbon dioxide in its atmosphere, which has given risen to abundant vegetation. A tropical planet! On the surface one can easily imagine in the equatorial areas, scenes of never-ending jungles and rain forests. While toward the poles the forests similar to Earth's temperate zones. On this planet the land / sea ratio is reversed to that of Earth, with extensive interconnected land masses broken only by inland seas and lakes. There would likely be animal life here, perhaps forms similar to those found in the terrestrial Carboniferous period.
