| THE LAST WATERS OF MARS |
![]() |
This planet is forth out from the
Sun. The atmosphere is composed mainly of carbon dioxide,
with a surface "air" pressure similar to that, found at
an altitude of 43 Km on Earth. average surface temperature
of -50° C. Without an Ozone layer to protect it, the surface receives
the full force of space radiation. The painting here
depicts the last waters on Mars, this view
could have been seen from any of the myriad canyon systems that characterize
this planet. At the end of the planets postulated wet period, some 3 billion
years ago, the ubiquitous dust clouds, that
can cover the planet for months at a time are moving in. PAINTING DIMENSIONS: 75 x 37cm, 29.5 x 14.5 ins (acrylic on canvas) bounded by a thin dark brown wood frame SOLD |
