                   GREEN TWILIGHT

green twilight

This planet has a green sky! the effect  here is caused by a layer of  harmless  microscopic plant cells suspended in the  middle atmosphere. A colouration layer,  as a visitor approached this world it would have a blue/ green colour  with  a blue sky  and  the  surface  below a greenish cast. After  passing through this layer, the sky would be green.  It has just stopped raining and the suspended plant cells have been washed out.  At this time parts of the sky could appear blue.  An unusual sight by earthly standards.  This particular view depicts a  moor land scene at the end of the  cold season, with the melting of the winter ice.  The sun is only a few minutes from setting.   On this planet the grass is mainly blue.  A strangely  inverted scene; green sky & blue grass.
