| BARNARD'S STAR |
![]() |
Barnard's star is the second closest star to Earth. This star is classified as a red dwarf, The painting here depicts a small solar system that may exist. The main planet with the orange markings is attended by at least 1 cratered moon. There is a another planet closer in, also seen here, and would probably raise tides in both bodies, during closest approach. Although this kind of gathering maybe unstable. The planets, if they are there, to be at all habitable (by Earth standards), would have to lie much closer in the the primary than Earth does to the Sun. These would also enjoy much longer lives than the children of the Sun can, owing to the much longer life span of Red Dwarfs. These worlds may also be tidally locked to the star, owing to their proximity. IMAGE DIMENSIONS: 42 x 29
